Built pre-1254, Bowerland has had a long and varied history and is now a period style farmhouse with just two unique and individual 4-star courtyard cottage apartments.

The Old Dairy is a one bed roomed ground floor spacious cottage apartment with a large enclosed garden and a sunny conservatory. It has a wood burning stove, an inglenook fireplace and many other rustic features.

The Hayloft is a first floor open plan 2 bed roomed cottage apartment with an enclosed area to the front of the property, laid as gravel.

Multiple dogs are welcome and up to 3 dogs go free. Why not combine your stay at Bowerland with training your dog, either a dog agility workshop at our main training centre located near Exeter, or a 1-2-1 lesson with one of the Devon Dogs training team. We have an excellent fully qualified and experienced dog groomer who is on site at Bowerland every Wednesday. There are two packages we can offer you with regard to Grooming:

Doggy Day Care

At Devon Dogs we run a very popular Dog Day Care on Tuesdays and Wednesdays every week. These are in the indoor barn at Newhall Equestrian Centre in Exeter. The dogs can be dropped off from 8am and collected up to 6pm on either or both days and will enjoy a whole day of playing, running free, socialising and having a great time just being dogs. They are fully supervised by a member of the Devon Dogs Training Team. These are a fantastic idea if you fancy a day shopping or sight-seeing and don’t want to leave your dog in the car or cannot take them out with you. Why not book them into Day Care, enjoy a guilt free day and pick up an exhausted but happy dog at the end of the day!

Cost – special Bowerland Holiday guest price of £15 per day (as of February 2012)

Devon Dogs stock a selection of DVDs and Books on both general dog training and agility training. All have been chosen for their popularity and depth of information and advice. You can have a look at our selection when you arrive, so that you can get straight into swotting up on the latest theories and advice on agility and dog training.

We also stock Natural Instinct, Acana and Orijen pet food. All three are available to order from us and fed to our own dogs here at Bowerland because of their wonderful natural ingredients – Natural Instinct boast that their wonderful frozen raw meats contains no grains, fillers, additives or preservatives. Orijen pride themselves on providing a dry food that contains a diversity of fresh meats, high protein, no grain, low carbs and all from fresh regional ingredients, and Acana produce grain free, high-protein ‘biologically appropriate pet foods from Fresh Regional Ingredients’.

Every dog normally loves to play with toys and toys are a fantastic way of rewarding in agility training.
