Hello - I’m Lols and have three collies:
Holly a working sheepdog rescue who I’ve had since February 2000 and is now retired from competing but still loves to do the odd jumps at training and playing around.
Tigger, a border collie, who I’ve had from 6 weeks back in January 2003. Tigs is my first proper agility dog and completely driven for it; if you see him at competitions you will know what I mean. August 2009 he put us into Grade 6 which I’m so proud of as I never ever thought I would get there as he tended to be the dog with 5 faults but fastest time. Away from agility he’s a real mummy’s boy and loves nothing more than being a lap dog and being stroked.
Flynn, is Tigger’s son and he came home with me at 7 weeks in November 2008.
I’ve know Lauren for nearly 7 years now as we both have dogs from the same litter, Tigger and Popi, but I started training with Lauren regularly a couple of years ago doing 121’s with Tigger as in five years we hadn’t got a solid startline wait and was getting very frustrating, even throwing classes didn’t matter to him, he’d got what he wanted, the first jump before I could even stop him. With a lot of hard work we now have a 98% solid wait, I still have to watch him, but with Lauren’s expertise on the workings of the Harrjak’s brains, her teaching methods have helped considerably.
Flynn has now started on the puppy/young dog foundation classes and already we have a good wait and he is getting so much out of doing what he thinks is fun and is eager to do more, but is all going towards balance, co-ordination, focus and the mainstays of his future agility training
