What lovely weather we have had this past week here at Devon Dogs.  Lots of great work done by all of our students on the steeplechase workshops Tuesday morning and Friday evening!  Some super clear rounds :-).  Our weekly classes were all really great with foundation agility skills being the focus and flexibility and adaptability for the Genius Dog students.   Weekly Life Skills looked at recall, loose lead walking and boundaries with a little bit of confidence work!  The week ended with an amazing Murder Mystery put together by Kay Allen…super fun and the teams did really well solving the ‘who dunnit’ clues!  Sunday we had a fabulous group for Genius Dog Day and the weather was picture perfect, ideal for working on recall, searching, heal work, boundaries and confidence paths.

Make sure you have a look at our workshops in 2019, we have some really exciting new workshops on the calendar…before we start really advertising these and they fill up, be the first to get signed up!

Tuesday Morning Turns Master Class
October 30 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Turns, turns, turns…this is a really important skill for our agility dogs when running courses. This workshop will focus specifically on this skill for your dog, as well as for your handling. To achieve fast times, a dog that can quickly collect, turn and move away to the next obstacle will have a super fast time. We need to be in a position to communicate efficiently with our dogs, giving them the information they need to perform to their maximum!
