28 October @ 10:00 am – 30 October @ 4:00 pm£360.00
Enjoy a super fun, action packed and informative 3-days
Would you like to train your Gundog the Devon Dogs way? Let us introduce you to a whole new way to look at Gundog training, which is positive, games based, reinforcement-rich and full of FUN! All breeds are welcome.
Are you curious?
We will make sure your 3 days are jam packed with everything Gundog we can throw in there…and we mean literally throw in there as the dummies and tennis balls will be flying everywhere by the end of your 3 days.
What your days will be filled with:
- Rock solid stay/wait
- Steadiness…self control
- Walking to heal on & off lead
- Whistle cues
- Appropriate hunting
- Water work
- Control secrets
- Capturing and using scent
- Arousal up arousal down
- Out and about
- Party tricks
- Health, welfare and fitness
- Recall…and more recall
Please bring a packed lunch/snacks and a hot drink(s) as well as waterproofs as we will work outdoors for this workshop. And because this is a holiday we will aim to take this all out and about! The initial days will be all about building foundation skills so that we can take the dogs out and about to play some fun games in a rich new environment…and we may even find somewhere to have a nice social to finish the four days. We cannot wait – it’s going to be a very special week!

We are looking forward to having you train with us! To help us ensure you have the best possible training experience, please arrive at the start time specified for this event. Devon Dogs is a Centre of Excellence training facility and we want to ensure all training change overs are smooth and easy.
We understand it is difficult to estimate arrival times and we know you will have planned for the unexpected in your journey! Should you arrive a little early, we recommend stopping at the Shell Services just off of the A30, only half a mile away from us. There is a Little Waitrose, Greggs, Subway and Burger King with tea/coffee and lots of healthy (or not so healthy!) snacks and prepared meals as well as toilet facilities. If you wish to go for a short walk, you can access the Granite Way in Sourton.
