Naughty But Nice Day
December 2, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm£95
Do you own a dog that lunges and spins on the lead? A dog who likes to greet anyone and anything in the environment? Perhaps your dog barks at anyone that walks past your house? Are you afraid to go out on walks when other dogs or people may be around?
Well don’t worry; you are not alone! We call these Naughty But Nice Dogs (NBN) and we LOVE them!
NBN dogs might bark, lunge, pull on the lead, chase (dogs, cars, livestock, joggers…anything!) or just find general day-to-day life challenging. Owning an NBN dog can make you as an owner feel anxious or afraid to have friends/family visit. You may feel like you can only walk your dog when no-one else is around…midnight walks can be very lonely!
We are here to help you transform your NBN, to turn your struggles into strengths! This workshop will arm you with the games and strategies you need to bring out the AWESOME in your dog!
The day will cover:
- On lead reactivity or anxiety;
- Counter conditioning games;
- Management techniques;
- Calming signals and strategies;
- Predatory eye-stalk patterns (how they get dogs in trouble);
- Understanding our dog’s body language;
- Out and about strategies.
The day will involve a range of activities and relationship games that you can take away to practice at home, boosting your skills and confidence as an owner. We will look at how you can start to understand your dog’s body language and what it is telling you. We will also look at different breed types and characteristics and how having a better understanding of the dog will underpin your future training.
This workshop will take you from worrying about what could go wrong, to getting excited about what will go right!! You’ll start thinking about all those challenges as true training opportunities.
For taking part in this wonderful workshop you will also received a copy of the fantastic and worldwide successful Naughty But Nice DVD so that you can continue with this valuable work at home.
All breed and level of dog and handler are welcome; this really is a workshop for everyone!
