PDT Charge Retreat – 23 Feb 2024

The PDT Charge Retreat has been created to help grow YOU as a Trainer; to take your teaching and training to the next level and beyond! This is all about getting practical and hands on, be ready to roll your sleeves up with opportunities to plan and teach classes and 121’s in a safe environment where we will provide support and feedback.

During your 7 night stay at Bowerland, you will immerse yourself in every aspect of being a Trainer so you leave us an even better Dog Trainer, armed and ready to WOW your students back home.  And we want to make sure you have some FUN as well! You can also bring a friend and their dog to join you on the retreat.  Please contact the office to make arrangements if you need help with this.

Devon Dogs is home of the Naughty but Nice program and we help hundreds of dog owners each year turn their struggles into strengths.  We have so much to share with you, from our own experience dealing with owners and their dogs, running 121s, classes and workshops and growing a business.  Learn from us from in person to online teaching!  We have lots of knowledge to share with you!

This will be an experience like no other where we will cover:

• Hands on teaching of classes and 121 to grow your experience
• Feedback along the way to grow your knowledge
• Case studies and handling a variety of struggles owners face with their dogs
• Shadowing sessions with us
• Teaching our lessons with us
• Experience handling a variety of dogs and playing the games, invaluable
• Training a variety of dogs to grow your experience as a dog handler…an invaluable learning opportunity
• Growing your demo dog
• Out and about teaching and strategies
• Planning venues and teaching from people’s homes – we will give you a chance to work on this
• Starting / Growing your dog training business or helping others
• Getting the most out of being a Pro Dog Trainer Partner with the affiliate program
• Breakfast and lunch planning sessions
• Social events where we will discuss specific topics including dinner with our team and Lauren
• There is so much we want to cover – as we prep we know the list will simply keep growing!

In total you will receive 32+ hours training, both 1-2-1 and group (Saturday to Thursday) plus a pre-arrival call and post-departure call as part of the above. This will truly be a CHARGE and push for you – a stretch and a GROWTH experience to remember. We hope your students are ready for you when you leave us!!!

Deluxe Package

Devon Dogs is excited to announce the arrival of 2 brand new holiday cottages for our guests to stay in whilst on your holiday retreat with us.  Right in the heart of the beautiful Devon countryside about 15 minutes from the main Bowerland Cottage Holidays site our new cottages are a big new addition to Bowerland.

Both cottages have 3 bedrooms and sleep up to 6 guests, so for the first time we are now able to offer accommodation for the whole family….or those who just want a little more space to relax in. Now, as important as the outside space is to us dog owning folks, the inside is set to blow you away too. Both cottages have a hot tub to relax and unwind after your amazing training sessions, large en suite bathrooms and a log burning stove to keep you nice and cosy during your stay.

Both cottages are set in gorgeous surroundings where you can walk around a stunning private fishing lake and are within easy distances to local woods and of course, the moors.  The new cottages also both benefit from the private use of an enclosed 2 acre paddock for free running time for your dogs.
