Heelwork to Music Retreat – 12 Jan 2024 – NEW!

This tailor-made week will offer a variety of training sessions on 121 and a niche small group basis. Recharge your batteries and relax in your cozy Devon cottage between Heelwork to Music training sessions. Spend the week immersed in specialist and niche learning tips and tricks learning all about Heelwork training where we focus on YOU and your dog with this truly unique, special, and bespoke Heelwork experience. This week will be filled with fun learning, heelwork, skills, choreography, music, tricks, fitness…super cool games.

Through the power of games, we will help you build, grow and hone your Heelwork skills. We train only using positive, reward-based training methods, with the goal of having fun with our dogs whilst learning new skills. Dogs of any level are welcome right from puppy through to adult! We will have you and your dog dancing in no time!

Bring your dog or dogs (up to 3 per cottage – any more by request) and you are very welcome to include a second person who supports you in your dog training journey either as a spectator or we can put together an additional handler place as long as you are staying with us (additional cost would apply for an extra dog training space and handler).

The Heelwork to Music Retreat Week includes:

• 32+ hours training both 1-2-1 and group (Fri-Fri and a pre-arrival call and post-call) and workshops

Devon Dogs is excited to announce the arrival of 2 brand new holiday cottages for our guests to stay in whilst on your holiday retreat with us. Right in the heart of the beautiful Devon countryside about 20 minutes from the main Bowerland Cottage Holidays site our new cottages are a big new addition to Bowerland.

Both traditional Devon cottages are set in gorgeous surroundings where you can walk around a stunning private fishing lake and are within easy distances to local woods and of course, the moors. The new cottages also both benefit from the private use of an enclosed 2 acre paddock for free running time for your dogs.

Now, as important as the outside space is to us dog-owning folks, the inside is set to blow you away too. Once inside both cottages, you will find a jacuzzi to relax and unwind after your amazing training sessions, large ensuite bathrooms and a log-burning stove to keep you nice and cosy during your stay.

Both cottages have 3 bedrooms and sleep up to 6 guests, so for the first time we are now able to offer accommodation for the whole family….or those who just want a little more space to relax in.
