The Old Dairy – Quirky, Cosy, and Full of Charm
The Old Dairy was the very first of our Bowerland Holiday Cottages and remains the most popular — and it’s easy to see why! Bursting with rustic charm and original features (including the old bread oven!), it’s the perfect place to unwind with your dog after a day of training and exploring the beautiful Devon moors. Picture cosy evenings in front of the woodburner, recharging for another adventure-filled day.
The cottage also boasts a lovely conservatory overlooking a peaceful garden, complete with a patio, table and chairs for sunny al fresco lunches. You’ll even find your own private herb garden to enjoy during your stay. The fully enclosed outdoor space offers total privacy and is ideal for anxious or reactive dogs, giving you peace of mind during your visit.
Just a one-minute walk from the training centre, The Old Dairy is as convenient as it is charming — roll out of bed and into your session (don’t worry, we’ll have the coffee on!). There’s also a dedicated parking space right outside your gate, making it easy to come and go without unexpected encounters.
We’ve designed everything at Bowerland with sustainability in mind. The Old Dairy runs largely on solar power, and fresh, chemical-free water is supplied by our own borehole. We’re proud to recycle everything we can, including paper, glass, and plastics.
At night, you’ll be treated to the stunning Dartmoor sky — thousands of stars twinkling overhead, lighting your way back to your cosy cottage. It’s a magical, peaceful end to each day and just one more reason why The Old Dairy is so special.
