Bowerland Training Arena
East Bowerland Farm
Devon EX20 4LZ
Bowerland is our home base and HQ. We hold weekly classes, workshops and camps here. We have indoor and outdoor facilities. Train in style in the Bowerland Training Arena which is a purpose built 60x40m indoor barn. To find Bowerland, travel along the A30 from Exeter for approximately 25-30mins towards Okehampton. Do NOT leave at the Okehampton exit, but stay on the A30 until the next exit, for ‘Sourton, Bridestowe, Hatherleigh’. Exit here, and stay in the right hand lane down to the T junction. Turn right, and along this road for approx 1mile. Turn left, signed Bowerland (opposite a sign for Meldon). This is only a small turning, please kept your eye out for it. Drive down the single track, tree-lined lane and East Bowerland farm is the first farm on the right hand side. When you arrive, park in the car park on the left; please do not drive into the courtyard. There may be other animals around such as sheep and cats and a free range child, so please do not let your dog off lead unless you are with your trainer.
Newhall Farm, Budlake, Exeter, Devon EX5 3LW
Devon EX5 3LW
Newhall is one of our main training venues, where we hold our weekly classes and workshops, with both indoor and outdoor facilities. To find Newhall from the M5, exit at junction 28 (North bound) or 29 (South bound) and follow the brown tourist signs for Killerton House and Gardens. If you are coming from the Exeter direction you will pass through the villages of Pinhoe and Broadclyst on the B3181. Continue to follow the brown tourist signs on this road until you see a brown sign for Newhall Farm. It is a left hand turn off the B3181 from Exeter, and a right hand turn if you are coming from the Cullompton direction. Once you have turned off the B3181 you will immediately see the entrance for Newhall on the left.
In the winter and in bad weather, your class may be held in the indoor barn at Newhall. When you park in the car park, walk to the far end and turn left down towards the yard where you should see the lights of the indoor school on the right. Please keep dogs on leads at all times as Newhall is a working stud and competition yard. Please wait outside the barn until the present class exit and try not to crowd the doorway in-case some dogs find the situation claustrophobic.
Alternatively, if your class is held in the field, again park in the car park and walk down through the yard to the left. The gate to the training field is on the left, set into the wall immediately after the white house and opposite the toilets. Please note there are no catering facilities on this site so please make sure you bring your own refreshments if you are taking part in a day workshop.
