What is your struggle with your dog?  Perhaps it’s barking in the car when you arrive somewhere or running over to dogs and people when out on walks.  How much energy do you spend focusing on why your dog does these things and how much do you spend on the actual solution to the problem?  Putting your effort into the solution helps you see results much quicker; 5% problem, 95% solution!

In all of our training this is where we spend our time and this week our solutions for our Life Skills and Genius Dog classes looked at games to help with disengagement from the environment, helping our dogs pick us over all the exciting things that happen around them.  Agility classes looked at sequences and obstacle discrimination, taking the correct end of the tunnel!  Tuesday’s steeplechase workshop was a super opportunity for students to practice courses in a friendly competition format using jumps and tunnels. The week finished with a Border Collie Day on Saturday and Genius Dog Day on Sunday. Both days very much focused on the games to solve common struggles we see, Saturday solutions just for Border Collies and Sunday was all about helping the group turn their dogs into Genius Dogs through the games that suited the dogs in the group!

We have some exciting workshops coming up that will help with your struggle or interest…we have a game for that!  Here are some highlights for events we are holding in 2019, and as always you can join us at anytime for a 121 bespoke training package!
