It has been a truly inspirational week! Devon Dogs hosted Tom & Lauren for 4 days of knowledge, inspiration, energy and learning! So many wow moments, so much information, so many new games and so many wins! One of the biggest light bulb moments was the reminder to train the dog in front of you, not the dog from 6 months ago, the dog you see today! A great reminder to recognize where your dog has progressed and adjust your training! As Gamechangers we play the games and work on the struggles our dogs have focusing on finding the solutions; remember to celebrate the wins as your dog improves AND to adjust how you train your dog as you conquer your struggles!
All of our classes are now back up and running and it was brilliant to welcome everyone back! It was fabulous to see our Agility Starters, Agility Improves, Building Your Genius Dog and Life Skills students all at Devon Dogs! Everyone has made great progress during lock down and it is great to get back to training in person! This weekend we held a Track It Down workshop in the glorious sunshine! Super wins with the dogs learning to find articles with their owners scent on them as well as beginning to identify the owners scent on the ground through scent pads and simple short tracks. The dogs and owners have been amazing and we finish up today with a fun day planned to help solidify the learning!
